That key insight fueled our Team USA sponsorship campaign. Connecting Olympians who are clients with Olympic hopefuls looking to compete in 2020, as well as with non-Olympian clients, we show just how similar the athletic journey is to the financial journey.
Taking a social media-savvy, mobile-first approach, this campaign, which includes athlete-focused branded content produced in partnership with ESPN (a TD Ameritrade first), we took home the proverbial gold. Adweek named our Hopefuls Reveal video one of the most emotionally compelling ads of the Rio Olympics, ranked second of all advertisers. #LikeYou became the company’s No. 1 social campaign at the time, with the most content views and highest engagement rate at the most efficient spend level ever. It remains one of the most successful campaigns to date.
